Henna for Hair
New to Florescence henna?
Because of the complex nature of henna color, all first time Florescence henna clients are required to start with a separate henna consultation. The consultation appointment is booked at least a week before any color appointments can be made. It is designed to answer all the questions you might have, assess your color needs, decide on a formulation, and then schedule your color appointment(s) according to what we've worked out. We may also decide to do a few color swatches to hone in on your formula.
Note: Henna application appointments vary greatly so we can book the color appointment only AFTER we have met for the consultation. No exceptions please.
Booking your appointment
All appointments are hand-booked by me through text or email.

A nice slow henna pace...
If you are starting with henna, you will most likely have a bit of a waiting period before and after your consultation. This is to prepare you for the slower pace of the earth-based hair colors. Like all good cooking, a delightful result requires patience, gentle simmering, and lots of love.
Never the less, once you are all set with consultation and henna color date, my schedule can accommodate up to 6 months of future bookings.
1-step henna produces subtle, light, or brighter shades of golds and reds on medium brown to blond and greying hair. A light formula is also perfect to transform grey hair into a natural highlight. Henna leaves the hair shiny, fuller, stronger, and with a rich lustrous color. Henna will strengthen the root follicle but will not lighten your natural hair color and does not replace conditioning.
2-step henna/indigo is perfect for achieving dark brown or black on any color hair and is the only way to get a real dark brown color on grey hair. This process will strengthen root follicles and add shine, but does not replace separate conditioning treatments. The dark brown tones range from a soft butter brown to a burnt brown tone.
